Basketball Open Gym
The gymnasium at Jesse Owens North will be open just for the 40 and over crowd to enjoy open recreational play. This program will be free for Recreational Sports members, and $56 for non-members. All participants must still register for this program so that we can limit the number of enrollees to maximize playing time,

Bouldering and Rock Climbing
If you are looking for a great way to build strength and flexibility, and you are up for a  little adventure, join us in the Bouldering and Rock Climbing classes for Active Adults. Students will progress through fundamental climbing skills, including: learning basic terminology, using equipment, understanding safety, spotting, moving on the wall, and finding routes.

Golf
Participants will learn basic golf skills and etiquette at the RPAC Golf Area. Beginners will learn grip, stance, swing, club selection, and various types of shots. Intermediate classes will focus on stroke improvement. Participants should bring their own clubs (including driver, putter, and at least one iron). A limited number of sets are available for Recreational Sports members to check out at the Sport Shop. Golf balls will be provided. Beginner and intermediate classes will be offered.

Tennis
Participants will progress through fundamental tennis skills, including: learning the stance and grip, preparing to hit forehand and backhand ground strokes, serving, volleying, and using the forehand lob, backhand lob, and forehand/backhand volley. Participants must provide their own racquet and one can of tennis balls. Beginner and intermediate classes will be offered.

Swimming
Participants will learn swimming fundamentals, including: water adjustment, flutter kicking, breathing coordination, arm action for the front crawl, and elementary backstroke. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced adult level classes are available.

Weight Training
Participants will learn the fundamentals of strength training and conditioning through one of our personal trainers. The class includes an introduction to the workout equipment at the RPAC where participants will develop a workout regimen with age and conditioning goals in mind. All activities will be age and ability appropriate. This class is designed to be repeatable each quarter to encourage ongoing participation.
