West Campus Skate Park
Location:
Located adjacent to Jesse Owens West Tennis Center (JOWTC) at 1031 Carmack Rd. The skate park is located south of the corner of Carmack Road and Kenny Road.
All ages, all experience levels and all action sports are welcome to use this facility. We encompass all action sports and exclude none. Utilization of this facility is available to the public free of charge.
Obstacles:
Current: (9,000 sq ft est.) Picnic Table, 2' Bank Ramp, 4' Mini-Ramp w/ 6' Extension and Wall-Ride, 6' Quarter Pipe and two 4' Quarter Pipes. There are also various practice rails and a 18" High Street Ledge.
Future: (18,000 sq ft est.) Crack / asphalt repair, various grind rails, launches, quarter pipes, spine, banks, elbows, hips and a larger grind box.
The current location is a temporary skate park with plans for revitalization and expansion in the future. Construction and/or modifications to the skate park must be cleared through Ohio State’s Department of Recreational Sports and West Campus Skate Park Committee.

Ohio State’s West Campus Skate Park is open to the public.

No BUCK ID required accessing West Campus Skate Park.

The use of protective equipment is recommended and along with proper instruction can reduce the risk of injury and/or death.

Suggested protective equipment; helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, hip/butt pads, wrist guards, and shin guards.

Ride / Skate within your own ability.

Ride / Skate at your own risk.

Respect other participants.

Be aware of your surroundings and other participants.

Pick up trash and throw away in provided trash cans.

No glass containers or alcoholic beverages.

The use of drugs or any illegal substance is strictly prohibited.

Parking:
Abide by all Ohio State parking rules and regulations.
There is metered parking located adjacent to JOWTC. You can purchase $1.00 passes prior to 6 p.m. that will let you park your vehicle for one hour. After 6 p.m. and on weekends there is a flat rate charge of $3.00. There is also a feature to use the machine just like coin operated parking meters. Remember to place your receipt on the driver side dash.
“Football Saturdays” all parking is $10.00. (only on home games)
Amenities:
Restrooms are located inside JOWTC at the north wall and a drinking fountain is located on the outside north wall of JOWTC near the tall pine trees. Restrooms are available only when JOWTC is open. The current JOWTC hours are available here.
